| Comments: | I moved to Albury in December 1999, with a clean criminal record. Since being in Albury, I have been arrested 4 times for the sake of police had nothing else better to do. I have had to sit in front of a magistrate on about 11 occasions in which the charges were dismissed and thrown out of court. Now the Albury police are on my back again, don't they have anything else better to do than to harass the public. Police negligence has been a previous experience with the Albury police charging me with resisting arrest when they threw me around my backyard, yet I have been charged for this bodged up offence. The statement I recieved that later became evidence in court was at least 75% ficticous. The mention was fisrt ajourned due to my absence and then the following hearing I could not attend so I sent in my defence on paper. I don't know if this defence was mentioned but I recieved notice of loss of case. | Comments: | I must applaude the comments and efforts of Mr.Cerminara to bring corruption within the ranks of NSW Police to the attention of the Public. Mr. Cerminara is not saying that all Police are corrupt. He is merely pointing to incidents and events that he has become aware. Those readers of this webb site who disagree with him should read the findings of His Honour Justice Woods at the conclusion of the 1995 NSW Police Royal Commission and to media reports of criminal judgements against corrupt Police. Only recently a Detective Constable was goaled for 5 years for receiving bribes with a 3 year non parole period. Unfortuantely, some readers of this sight not only misunderstand the motives of Mr. Cerminara but are like the proverbal ostrich, they refuse to accept the truth and stick their heads in the sand. I knew these documents existed as I had received a schedule of their existence from the other Govt Department. The Police told the ADT that they had no record of their existence and therefore could not produce them. This is an admission by Police of a breach of the State Records Act which obliges Govt agencies to keep records of their correspondence. I have written to the Minister about this breach, but to date nothing has happened. |
